Zero chemistry. Lazy dialogue. Entirely ignores/completely misunderstands the sense of adventure and discovery that made the game so enjoyable — beyond the gameplay. A movie created by suits and programmed by computer algorithms. Anyone unaware of the video game would probably blame the source — because movies based on a dumb game is a bad idea. I’m gonna stop you right there — Naughty Dog’s Uncharted series had more creative fire in its loading screen than this movie has during its entire interminable runtime.

This may not be a great movie. Or even a very good one. There's sloggy bits and moments of pure dramatic contrivance.
And yet...
There's still Steve Martin doing an intentionally hammy New York Italian accent and antagonizing everyone he knows with wit and tasteless bespoke suits.
And that's enough for me.
