NEVER IN MY FILM HAS A FILM MADE ME FEEL LIKE THAT BEFORE HOLY SHIT I FELT NUMB LIKE A WHOLE OUT OF BODY EXPERIENCE TYPE SHIT WHAT THE FUCK
there’s not much i can say about this film that hasn’t been said already but i’m having several thoughts so... here it goes
THAT CLIMAX IS THE MOST EXHILARATINGLY SHOCKING CAPTIVATINGLY EXCITING HORRIFICALLY THRILLING MOST UTTERLY TERRIFYING SCENE IN CINEMA I HAVE EVER SEEN.
the cinematography throughout is impeccable. THE SYMBOLISM THROUGHOUT IS SO WELL ARTICULATED. the direction throughout is outstanding; i thought the camera work was genuinely incredible. the screenplay is witty and comedic yet so smart and again articulated so well. the performances from the cast are so compelling. and that story... Bong Joon-Ho is a genius. he has created a film that is so sinister yet so comedic yet so thrilling yet such a breeze to watch. there is so much to unpack from this film and i genuinely look forward to reading up on it to further understand its astound complexity.
