roderick jaynes’s review published on Letterboxd:
Dull cinematography with overuse of close-ups and mids, that prevent the illusion of space within the beautiful scenery. Jake Gyllenhaal is absolutely fantastic, although he’s character was flatly written. I would’ve just loved if they developed him more so the plot twist had more impact. Some creative and visually engaging secquemces involving Mysterio. Overall it just feels like a movie designed to establish the dramatic situation for the following movies.
