Today 45 years ago the first true "Summer Blockbuster" was unleashed and scared americans out of the water for years!
Steven Spielberg's classic film made going to the cinema an event again. People lined up for hours in the summer sun to get a glimpse at this rollercoaster of a film.
The film was relatively low-budget film even for it's time. Directed by a young man with only two films to his credit. It ended up being the biggest blockbuster of 1975 and remained the highest grossing film of all time until.... STAR WARS!
In the summer of 75' Spielberg and Universal Pictures struck gold! 45 years later.. it's still gold!
