Hayden’s review published on Letterboxd:
Add it to the American Honey universe please. Sean Baker seems to be a very talented guy, and I'd certainly like to see what he would be able to do with a bigger budget, the man seems talented between this and Tangerine. The child actors are phenomenal, with a couple of blips occasionally. The main cast is also great, while I'm not sure Dafoe should be nominated as his role is fairly small, and not what holds the film up (His performance is great but I would nominate the lead actress or presentation before Dafoe). As mentioned the presentation is incredible, and the cinematography is surprisingly great. Also surprise Caleb Landry Jones is always a nice time. If the last minute of the film would have been cut then I would probably feel higher on this, but alas I'm left with a bit of a sour taste.
