The downward spiral. Deeper than a victim or an illness, is love. Stronger than best laid plans.

Startlingly authentic performances from Stewart and Novak. Scenes that literally took my breath away. Herrmann enters our eardrums with a tear glazing score beyond measure.

    "What's this doohickey?"

The indelible images. Psychological vortex abstraction. A woman is always the start of a cycle. The spinning web. The grave and portrait of Carlotta. Suicide solution.

Duality and invisible prisons. Colored light and shadow. It's…

    The Exorcist

Satanic camphor and the nightmare nitrocellulose set ablaze in hellfire.

The conversations between Mother and daughter are intimate to an almost uncomfortable degree. An organic growth of unease. Knowledge of the unpleasant. The invisible evil. It's presence lingers.

The incompetence of the medical profession. Troubled men ordained and in pain. Parents forced to watch their children suffer immeasurably. There's no vascular displacement. Only darkness.

Owen Roizman's artistry is on full display in every wicked frame. Demonic depth of field. Night…

    Dearest LB,

I thought I could make it to Strange 2. But I have to make a wise, selfless decision for my family. I'm standing on the treshold of success. If I look down, I'll get dizzy.

I'm going to cast my doubts aside and fly. Not just fly,, soar. I've got a magic feather and I want to believe in miracles. We really need one in May. A final set of surgeries like a pyramid of pachyderms.

    The very…

My first feature-length film and the first film to scare me. The Witch got under my 4 year old skin. I was mildly obsessed with the film in my young years. I could escape into it over and over.

I used to assume every human on earth had seen it. But if you ask enough water brained yokels if they have, you'll get a shocking amount of "Have not"s. Everyone in this film is dead now. It retains it's power still. I'm thankful this exist. Without it who knows. This and Dumbo. Real movie magick.

Amber and I were fresh from the hospital after an oophorectomy (July 19). At this late stage in the cancer treatment journey it felt as though we were becoming, at once, indoctrinated into a new way of living, while increasingly mourning the loss of a life once lived or one that might have been.

She had been fasting and was in need of sustenance. We stopped into Firehouse Subs. The kid at the register asked me my favorite horror movie.…

Adult cinema at it's finest. The best horror film of 2022, so far, by a country mile. Ti West rocked this shit.

Martin Henderson was extra crispy with superb line delivery. And Mia Goth definitely has the X Factor. This whole project was perfectly casted. The old couple, especially the old man, looks like a Raimi gypsy deadite. If Tarantino made a horror film it might look something like this.

There was a renewal of spirit within this film. It…
