  • Jackie Brown

    Jackie Brown

The first time I watched this was like 5 years ago and I was too young to understand what was going on 100% and appreciate it fully. To be honest Sam Jackson really annoyed me but Jackie, Max, and Louis are some of Tarantino’s best characters. The last hour is peak entertainment.

Get you a freak that likes needles.
The asmr sound design made me squirm like a worm in my seat.

    A Field in England

There was a sequence in the third act of this film, I don’t know how long it was, but for the duration of this sequence, I felt myself transported to a shared realm, a field in England where I simultaneously was and was not, sharing the euphoria and stupefaction of the protagonist. And no I’m not high right now

    This Is Spinal Tap

Imagine The Office but about a struggling 80s british rock band. It ROCKED, all the performances were heroic, even the ones that were just a scene long

  • Troll 2

    Troll 2

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

There wasn’t a single troll in the whole movie...sad
Also, forget the witches, goblins, etc. The scariest thing was the mom’s acting. Why were her eyes so wide open and why did she have to speak so loud? What the fuck woman

  • Naked Lunch

    Naked Lunch

I don’t know exactly what it means or what happened. But it is a good movie for sure. Cronenberg’s corporeal and intense style of horror was a perfect match for Burroughs’ writting.

There’s so many bizarre moments in this one, but my favorite was probably the gooey typewriter sex scene. The whole thing is a trip though, exterminate all rational thought.

    Ad Astra

Visually, it was among the coolest looking space movies ever made.

    The script was like....
Brad Pitt: Hi I am lonely and I miss my dad and in this 2-hour long voice over narration I’m going to repeat this several times using this deep voice

  • Marie Antoinette

    Marie Antoinette

The mix of classical music and post-punk in the soundtrack was perfect. And those costumes and sets must’ve cost millions.

Also imagine having to awkwardly bow every time you meet someone. Even worse, imagine not being attracted to Kirsten Dunst.
