Meh: It's not a classic but it's watchable and the parody of Over the Rainbow by Mr. Lunt is fantastic
Positive Production, Dark Subject Matter: "Joker" is real and gritty. It's scary how relatable Arthur is made to feel at times through his many instances of being trodden down by others and we really feel for him. The audience member is torn between rooting for or booing his killing jokes. This poor guy with an awkward condition can never catch a break and as a result we see him break systematically. It's a tragic tale and a rough ride but it's art in it's purest cinematic form. Bravo Joaquin Phoenix for a mad portrayal of the most infamous clown ever.
