Peter Grantham’s review published on Letterboxd:
The first 'Wolf Creek' spent half the running time building up to the nasty stuff, but there's no need for that this time so Mick gets straight to work. Two coppers who pull Mick Taylor over simply to help make their quota up soon pay.
'Wolf Creek 2' is a series of set-pieces. We're treated to some very old school car stunts, ironically-used music and drawn out death and torture scenes. The film is very well done, suspenseful, and sometimes savagely funny. Mick's one-liners remind me of Freddy Kruger's in 'A Nightmare On Elm Street' 3 and 4. Again, the customer gets exactly what he or she pays for.
Near the end of the film, Mick Taylor gives a reason for why he does what he does. This reason makes absolutely no sense at all and subtracted slightly from the whole experience for me.
