rewatched it again with an audience on a big screen and wow, it only got better.
one thing I realised this time (more like it hit me) was how emotionally cathartic the entire process of mourning was for the characters and how deeply-affecting the film is for the audience.
PS-I know I am extremely late to this but where is Hidetoshi Nishijima's Oscar nomination??
