One of the best coming-of-age films I've ever seen. I like that the film not only focuses on Zac's struggles with his sexuality, but also on his relationships with his friends and his family. All of the actor give great performances, especially Marc-André Grondin and Michel Côté. The soundtrack is incredible, and each song perfectly fits the particular moment it's used at.
Enjoyable, charming, surprisingly funny film about a teenage girl and her desire to leave her small Nova Scotia town for NYC. I could identify with Moonie and her struggle to fit in with her more conventional family and community. The friendship that develops between Moonie and Lou is fun to watch, but I wish there had been more character development with Lou.
