    The most unsettling movie experience I have had in a very long time. It is feverish, insane, scary and just wonderful.

    Our protagonist Michel likes to pick pockets. This is a deceptively simple explanation of the plot. Why does he like to do what he does? He reflects that many times, what he gets from a wallet is hardly worth the risk. He tries to give meaning to his actions: it is his skill, it is to get ahead and so on. His friends seem sympathetic towards him, but he pushes them away, for apparently no reason. Perhaps simply because pickpocketing…
