Andrew Brown’s review published on Letterboxd:
This movie was a trip. Robert Eggers is clearly a phenomenal director and this film is a must watch for anybody with a stomach for the obscene. The cinematography deserves it's nomination for an academy award in 2020, and should be praised as a unique work of art. I would recommend watching this movie in the pitch black, with the volume loud, and the subtitles on. If you don't, I doubt you'll be able to grasp this psychological thriller in this entirety. Shocking and downright terrifying, The Lighthouse gets 4 stars from me.
