Before giving this film a rewatch, I read the Haruki Murakami short story the film is based on. I must say: Chong-Dong Lee did a great job in turning a 20 page short story into a 2 hour and 30 minute film. His take on the concept of societal judgement, universal balance, & self-isolation is beyond brilliant and well-executed. I loved this film just as much if not more on a second watch.
