Adam Waldowski’s review published on Letterboxd:
For the countless reaction shots of cast members looking scared, you'd think there'd be an actual scare or two to be found here. The structure, where characters tell ghost stories or have nightmares, is rather disorienting until it becomes clear almost every one builds to an obvious "shock." John Irvin amps up the sound and music during these reveals which underscores how unfrightening they are. Craig Wasson and Alice Krige fare slightly better than the underwhelming veteran cast.
