PORTRAIT OF A LADY ON FIRE is exhilarating. Every shot is a painting in motion. Officially tied with BONG JOON HO's PARASITE as my favorite film of the year.

As an artist, this film was ... tailor made for me. Every scene of Marianne painting Hèlïose was a visual delight. This movie takes it's time, and yet every single glance, every stroke of graphite is engrossing beyond words.
