    Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins

Earlier today I made a version of this film which is exactly 63 minutes. What I mean by that is that I edited it so it could be relatively fast paced and is exactly the version that I wanted of the film. The 120 version was fucking disappointing. Everything that the original had is still in this one such as the plot points etc. but I just edited unnecessary scenes so I could have a blast on rewatch which I…

Warm summer feelings, beautifully breathtaking animation, stunning cinematography and just adorable visuals are all featured in this new incredibly heartfelt feature from Pixar. Has a short and simple plot but is predictable at times but yet is an exceedingly fast-paced, visual feast. It’s elegant depiction of Italian culture with its fascinating colourful chilling colour scheme displayed was fantastic. Can admit that this film makes you go through a variety of emotions. It’s a short and simple feature, ignore the negative…

The writing in this shit was phenomenal. Everything in this film was engaging although it deals with a rough topic that I barely nothing about. It takes it’s time to succeed but you will overall be provided with great performances from all the cast members as well as a smoothing score and saturated colour scheme by the time it ends. I would lowkey go rewatch this in theatres when it releases in December. Good job Schrader and Scorsese for making another fantastic feature πŸ‘

watched this in prep for the new one that releases in a couple of weeks. this was just some light and mindless fun. haven't seen this one for years so it was nice to revisit as well but it still has your modern-day animated hollywood film cliches.

Dialogue in this film be like:

    'what movies are he into?'
'he's into kurosawa, kung-fu and kubrick'
    'wow that's a lot of k's'

Jake Gyllenhall once again provides a strong performance but the script could've been better. Most of the film is auditory-only so you have to pay tons of attention as your not getting much visually. I think that the narrative itself really wasn't fully interesting but I still had fun with the film overall. It really honestly isn't that bad for a Netflix film but yeah, it's very passable so it's up to you if you want to check it out when it releases.
