Adrian Rae’s review published on Letterboxd:
A reboot that definitely works. It takes the story we all expect going in and flips it. Starting off uninteresting and somewhat uninviting, it quickly becomes a thrilling and exhilarating ride.
They killed a gay person of color first, and that made me roll my eyes into oblivion. Beyond the two leads, none of the characters are given ANY development making the first half of this movie, again, uninteresting.
Beyond that, it surely pays off with a fun finale. The main heroine is fantastic and drives this movie forward to a very sound ending.
