    I was a lot younger last time I saw this. Today's rewatch was only the second time I've seen it, and I didn't like it nearly as much as I remembered. I guess it seemed a lot scarier and more interesting when I was little. This time around, I was actually kind of bored.

    Jeff Goldblum manages to be the highlight of every movie he's in.

    I’ve been hearing people praising this movie for years. Everyone I talked to loved it.

    Well, I’m sort of underwhelmed. It’s a very well made movie with a great ending, but I didn’t love it. It was a little dry, actually.

    This isn’t a criticism - but DAMN the movie is depressing. Watching it made me feel dirty. That’s what it was going for, so I applaud it for doing such a good job, but I really didn’t enjoy feeling that way.

    About half way through this, I realized it’s everything the Venom movie should’ve been, but wasn’t. The lead actor even looks a little like Tom Hardy. 

    It’s a super clever movie. I was convinced that I kept spotting inconsistencies and flaws, only to be proven wrong when I realized it was all foreshadowing. That ending was so satisfying.
