Chris Dewey’s review published on Letterboxd:
Definitely the most cartoonish of the original four movies (I always group them together in my head for some reason). Love the disco theme, the mask’s first appearance, the ratag group of people that would never actually hang out together, and the setting. Still haven’t had the opportunity to see this one in 3D but would love to some day. Perhaps the first one in the series I ever saw in its entirety - stumbled across it on FX one night when I was 12 or 13 and was quickly drawn in. Interesting attempts to introduce plot devices like trauma and pregnancy. Everyone talks about how annoying Larry Zerner’s character is but for me Rick is the one that couldn’t die fast enough.
