adrian’s review published on Letterboxd:
basically a couple of intermingling vignettes of depravity and violence with no slants that made the characters or the narrative redeemable and hopeful in any way (i mean that in a moral sense, not in an artistic sense since i reckon this was actually a pretty well-made, entertaining film).
loved the little glimpses of the southern gothic aesthetic but would've really appreciated if they leaned into it a bit more as opposed to just laying it on thick with the brutality and gore. can't deny this was a wild ride though!
