Fulci's personal favorite of all the movies he's directed which was banned from U.S. release until the year 2000 is his cleverly plotted giallo Don't Torture a Duckling. Dealing with subject matter of rural vengeful prejudice towards outcasts and the predatory perverse attempts of the Catholic Church at sustaining "innocence" in children. A glimpse into Fulci's turn to masterful gore effects with a first-of-its-kind chain scene that is brutally powerful

George Romero's pinnacle of zombie genre films. A claustrophobic battle of ideological extremes and the deterioration of civility in isolation. Tom Savini's excellent gore effects with a head rip off scene that viscerally shook me

This is narcotic cinema. It's effect induces a numbness of distaste yet is highly addictive to watch.

Off-the-wall ultraviolent bromance that is darkly funny and has just some of the best practical effect mastery (and some of the worst CGI) I've ever seen. Instant new cult favorite

Pretty badass to see a movie with Bill Moseley and Nic Cage. Too bad the rest of movie isn't much

Has a lot going for it, but the entire time watching it felt a little off and subdued. Only after did I realize this film is PG-13 and I think that explains the lack of Raimi off the wall insanity I was anticipating and heavy CGI over practical. Ton of effective jump scares and scary demonic witchery and the blood spewing office scene had me going. Enjoy the morality tale of banks/landlords and the inherit wickedness of the entire process and relationship.

Need an R-rated horror comedy sequel that's Army of Darkness style as Justin Long fights his way through Hell to save Alison Lohnam's soul

25th Anniversary rewatch. Fincher king of title sequences with a brilliantly stylized opening sequence using NIN's remixed Closer (Precursor) song perfectly setting the mood for this brooding inferno
