Esther Warren’s review published on Letterboxd:
I have too many friends who were taken advantage of as teenagers. The easy way those conversations occur, 'I was fifteen, he was probably twenty something — super fucked up looking back.
The world seems safer for queer kids now, hopefully because a lot of us are hypervigilant about not falling into that same predatory mindset, but when alt-right Milo advocates for paedophilia I cannot help but think how broken one must be to advocate that sort of generational revenge.
A guy in my sixth form texted me after the rumour was spreading that I was some type of queer, we didn't like each other much and he had a lot of shame but there weren't really options in that town. It was unhealthy probably but one gets over these sorts of things.
Or maybe you don't. Maybe you just keep going.
