Poor Robert Pattinson. He had to suffer through these bad movies and carry them on his damn shoulders despite being an incredibly talented actor (proof: Good Time, High Life, The Lighthouse, and more) and only be seen in the general public’s eye as “the Twilight guy.” I would say the same thing about Kristen Stewart except that she’s really isn’t that good of an actress anyway, even in later arthouse films.
Anyway, now that I’ve seen the Twilight movies, I don’t actually think they’re the worst things ever. They’re just “run-of-the-mill bad” with terrible scripts, terrible directing (this is the reason why the acting is not good) competent but not good cinematography, sound, and art direction, and really bad editing. They aren’t the worst movies ever, I would not even consider them to be top 30 bad, they’re just... bad.
This particular one I’m reviewing is easily the best of the bunch and actually has some decent moments but it’s still not good. Also the ending “twist” is trash.
