I don't believe that Roma - as a lot of people are saying - requires an esoteric taste to be enamoured of it. I felt like Cuarón is depicting his own memories with the most tactful and exceptional way that it can be which hits exactly the right note. I have to say that I haven't watched a sanctified modern classic which reduced me to tears like this one since Carol, this is with no doubt the movie of 2018 for me.
