Love me some movies!
This is a lot better than I remember it being. Yes, it’s a bloated mess with way too much going on, and it has a lot of clumsy setup. But there’s still some great shit here. Sam Raimi is too great a director to let a project like this completely fall apart.
Though Venom feels a bit tacked on, and rushed to set up, and Harry’s amnesia is a (surprisingly comic accurate) ridiculous contrivance, the places Raimi and co. take…
