...And that's how I like my rewatches, wait for one-year to pass at the minimum since I initially saw a film that I loved, and then rewatch it from the comfort of my home. But with the case of The Nice Guys, I could probably watch it a 3rd, 4th, and 5th time one day after the next, and it would still be as fresh as when I went to see it in cinemas on first viewing. Some elements still don't hold together particularly well, Matt Bomer's cold and robotic performance as the weird looking hitman sticks out like a sore thumb. The gag with the short-sighted elderly lady is an underdeveloped detour, The Nice Guys is a little rough around the edges, but how could it not be when you're dealing with a sleazy subject like porn?
Still hilarious, still huge amounts of fun, and I want Holland March to be my drinking buddy.
