Tammy and the T-Rex 1994
Just learned about this movie earlier and simply had to see it. Holy shit this is incredible. I mean this with all sincerity it’s like a relic from an alternate reality where movies are simply better than somehow fell into ours. It came out a year after Jurassic Park and pays homage in one moment very well. The world needs more dinosaur movies and also just more absurd high school dramas about women falling in love with monsters possessed by the brain of their boyfriends. This is cinema, everyone should watch this movie. The last scene almost broke my brain.

A reckoning with trouble youth and Schrader’s fairytale of the possible for hope in America’s future.
I expected to leave this feeling miserable and instead I feel happy and hopeful.
The film has some aspects that won’t sit well with some and I’m not gonna act like it’s not without it’s logical jumps at times. But this truly feels like the synthesis of everything Schrader’s been writing about for the last 50 years. It never makes apologies for the actions… -

This joints got better lighting than 90% of big budget action movies these days.
So fucking insane this was written by two of the same writers as Iron Man and came out the same year.
Rip Ray Stevenson, dude played a hell of a Punisher.
