AJ Johnston’s review published on Letterboxd:
Didn’t actually watch the whole movie today but I’ve recently watched about 5 different videos of the best scenes to get a refresher so I feel qualified to drop a review
This is a top 3 comedy for me. It’s basically just an hour and a half of dry puns and absurd visual/expectation subverting gags which is right up my alley. I don’t think a movie like this could work as well if made today with how on the nose everything seems to be, but it being from the 80s makes it feel like a film from a bygone era that gives it a certain charm that’s hard for me to quantify.
Also it was the first nudity I ever saw in a movie. Feel like that’s worth mentioning
