Kind of a perfect example of how important it is to know your tone. I appreciate the campy second half but having the first be so derivative and filled with lazy jump scares (which even irritated me as a defender of them) left this one being an unfortunate miss for me.
There's moments of greatness here (the gore and the visuals are major highlights) and I appreciate Sydney Sweeney's complete commitment to the role but at the end of the day, I found myself wanting more. At least the final shot is cool I guess.
