I feel like a poser since, after waiting for months!, I finally saw Drive My Car the day after it got its Oscar noms. Once I finish up my run through Hitchcock's filmography, my hard drive is all ready for Hamaguchi. I adore Murakami's writing, and this has to be the best adaptation I've seen of it. the soundtrack! the performances! the Chekov! there's too much to praise!
It'd be the easiest slam-dunk to program this with Bette Gordon's The United States of America. I'll never get enough driving asmr.
