wow this film REALLY triggered my adhd symptoms, alas, i ended up having to watch this over the course of 3-4 days ...

i’ll be honest i think i’m too dumb to enjoy films like this one😭

though endlessly creative and whimsical, it ultimately felt like a bit of a slog to watch.

there were things here and there i really liked, but yeah i wouldn’t really recommend this to anyone that tires easily.

but hey i’m mentally ill + stupid as frick so don’t listen to me xD

woahhhhh this was so good and fun!!!! especially for such a small budget!!!!

good scares, cheesy acting, awesome gore... what’s not to love??

oh, and Art the Clown is an actual nightmare. he instantly became one of my favorite horror villains of all time!

    more campy horror films please!!

i’ve come to realize that the main reason why everyone hates this movie is precisely the reason why i like it.

i genuinely like how unsubtle it is! in fact, i think the lack of nuance works for mother!, since it prioritizes evoking a visceral feeling rather than focusing on intellect, and it does one hell of a job at that!!

it’s also surprisingly funny?? whether intended or not, this film almost has a camp element to it. the virtual…

“Like you, I have fought with all my might not to forget. Like you, I have forgotten.”

i don’t think my mind has fully grasped the full extent of this movie’s magnificence. everything about it is executed to perfection. simply one of the most beautiful things i have ever witnessed :')

lol the writing for the Saw films is so silly, subpar at best, but i’ll give props where it’s due: James Wan and Leigh Whanell are kind of geniuses for coming up with the Saw premise. it’s pretty much the perfect formula to yield countless sequels.

most people won’t care much about good writing, they just wanna see creative, gruesome traps! and honestly, i’m one of them, since i’m looking forward to the upcoming ninth installment in the franchise.

oh and, this one was patently better than the five films that preceded it. i’m glad we all agree on that.
