    What a pity, so few people have understood the movie: underneath the (apparently) happy ending there's a terrible and terrifying taste of human awareness of being back to the drawing board.

    I love Noé but to date this is his weakest film. Probably because it remains a victim of time, the field of investigation is already quite saturated especially after Haneke's Amour (much less sensationalist): we have already seen this situation a thousand times in films that have exploited cinematographic resources much more skillfully.
    The metaphorical split screen is also interesting but it's a little thin to say that he's enhanced the cinematic-medium

    Vortex's not a bad movie, I don't always…

    I don't know how it's possible that McDonagh made a film even more beautiful and cinematically important than the previous ones: the metabolization of the irish heritage couldn't fail to take on the characteristics of a reinterpretation of the most brutal conflicts in the country, combined with the great theater of the absurd (Beckett), the irish folklore and obviously with the grotesque and the black humor typical of the director.

    Long life to Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson!
