Norm Macdonald: Nothing Special 2022
Really really great.
Norm's special is of course hilarious but seeing the people that he loved and who loved him talk about him was just wonderful.
It's so sweet and heartbreaking at the same time, a beautiful tribute to one of the best of all time.

The Black Phone 2021
I'm not gonna lie the only reason I went to see this was because Ethan Hawke's character is called The Grabber and I thought that was funny.
That being said i did enjoy this a good bit! It's definitely not without its problems but I'll get to that in a minute.
Hawke gives a really quite odd performance, which I enjoyed but I couldn't help but think it belongs in a different movie lol.

Ad Astra 2019
This is the kind of movie that makes me believe in cinema, like truly, goddamnit this is art. I don’t even know but this is one of the easiest 5/5s I’ve ever given. 2019 really is the best year for cinema this decade, huh. And I swear to god if Brad Pitt doesn’t win two Oscars next year, I am suing! I may have lost almost all hope in the Academy but if they give Pitt two Oscars my life will be complete and I will ascend to heaven.
