    "Where are we"

I won't bore those of you who read my reviews with anymore of the lovey dovey sad stuff, my most recent review of Her is still there so go read that if that's what you want. But it's now actually been a month, exactly a month. I just want to talk about how this experience has changed how I view La La Land.

Even after nearly 15 viewings I'm still finding new ways to watch this film,…

"I think anybody who falls in love is a freak. It's a crazy thing to do. It's kind of like a form of socially acceptable insanity"

It's been just under a month and I've been putting off watching any of these bittersweet romantic films that I love because I thought that they'd make it feel real. I've had a little bit to drink so I put this on because why the hell not. Jesus Christ.

    Really really great.

Norm's special is of course hilarious but seeing the people that he loved and who loved him talk about him was just wonderful.

It's so sweet and heartbreaking at the same time, a beautiful tribute to one of the best of all time.

This is the kind of movie that makes me believe in cinema, like truly, goddamnit this is art. I don’t even know but this is one of the easiest 5/5s I’ve ever given. 2019 really is the best year for cinema this decade, huh. And I swear to god if Brad Pitt doesn’t win two Oscars next year, I am suing! I may have lost almost all hope in the Academy but if they give Pitt two Oscars my life will be complete and I will ascend to heaven.

Ps. I literally feel like I could kill God right now
