There are some screenplay problems but I would be an absolute liar if I didn’t say this film made me sob. Rob Morgan and Timothy Blake Nelson do some of the most solid work I’ve seen in a miiiinute.
There is SO MUCH unnecessary air laced throughout this film that I was frustrated within the first five minutes. Pick up the dialogue (WHAT PACING? JFC), cut the cliches, and make something with some girth. Otherwise its gratuitous bullshit, which is EXACTLY what this film is. Yes, cinema is supposed to be entertaining, but I like a fresh side of significance with my entertainment. A bit of gravity matched with artistic and aesthetic value- is that so much to ask…
