Dragon 2011
Solid martial arts film starring Donnie Yen, who plays a seemingly ordinary worker with a troubled past set in 1917 China.
The fight scenes are relatively rare but good and the narrative from the supporting actor's point of view is also interesting.
A film that doesn't disappoint but isn't a milestone in this genre either.

A Bronx Tale 1993
Very nice and successful directorial debut by Robert De Niro. The influences of his friend and regular director Martin Scorsese are of course unmistakable.
Learned from the best!
If you like mafia movies, you will like this one too.

The Wrestler 2008
The Wrestler is a stirring, well-played drama that seems heavy, but still leaves time for short moments of happiness and hope. Ultimately, we're all just looking for our destiny.

Trainspotting 1996
VERY hard to watch but the themes it tackles are so essential, important and sadly timeless. And the way it handles and executes all of it is very impressive. Trainspotting is brutal, heartbreaking, disturbing and not for the faint of heart. Great job Danny Boyle, great job.
