  people always want to talk shit about the portrayal of teenagers in media because it “isn’t realistic” but something about this movie just is, and yes this movie isn’t perfect but it is real. obviously most 13 yr olds aren’t just doing drugs but this movie isn’t about ‘most’ teenagers, tracey explicitly says they’re struggling with money, her mom is a recovering alcoholic, and her dad is no where to be found. both girls have deeply troubled home lives and…
