Now that Todd Haynes has made “film”, does one attempt to even make “film” again?
The strongest depiction of the forces that pull people together I believe to ever be translated to cinema. An introspection on the seductive chemistry and desires people share. Carol sets the standard for this decade. Moving beautifully, a palatial flow of emotions and love. Delightful escapism and genuinely a portrait of the 50’s. A romantic rhapsody of glances, gazes and just about every sensation and sense to be felt or seen.
I’ve never really played CoD, but Carol prestiged whatever ranking system I had.
