Alexander Båtsvik’s review published on Letterboxd:
I feel like director Macon Blair takes a lot of inspiration from colleague Jeremy Saulnier, but there is probably many dozens of reviews talking about that.
I just want to say that I feel the Sundance selection must have been week if this Won the Jury Grand Prize or whatever. It's not bad, don't get me wrong, but it's nothing more than OK. The movie starts of relatively promising, but when it crosses the 50 minute mark I just sorta "wanted" to get on my phone and occasionally look up at the movie, so I don't miss plotpoints.
I really wanted to like this movie, and I've taken a liking to the main actress Melanie Lynskey, I think she doing a good job.
