This movie is young, dumb, and full of cum, and its the greatest movie ever made.
Greatest summer movie ever. A set of stock characters turned into a memorable and likeable ensemble with great relationships by the actors and director GOING FOR IT with every little gesture and interaction that could easily have been nothing.
Plus...the creature design kicks ass, the fights kick ass, the big robots kicks ass, AND THE THEME SONG KICKS FUCKING ASS
Genuinely delightful time - what a blast! I would've loved to have given this the full 5 stars, but unfortunately the "moral" is pretty dreadful and hard to take even with the knowledge that, given the standards of the time, a comedic movie about divorce like this probably could never have been made without that moral.
