Eternals

Eternals

So pointlessly fractured, so sprawling but absolutely lacking in heart, beauty, or worthy scope for this set of heroes.
The cool visuals for celestials do not make up for a whole dull Avengers style, “get the gang back together” narrative, chock-full with some of the laziest usage of flashback and a most unbelievable disregarding for any genuine timeline to base a compelling narrative in, which is instead made up of too many tangential narratives for a first movie, narratives that (sometimes offensively) just introduce characters (for well over an hour) in the midst of tragedy as a way of making sense of events introduced in the first 20-30 minutes of the film. It’s terribly edited and the location/time cards grow tiring quickly but are heavily utilized throughout.
