i wasn’t sure how i felt about this during the first half because while it was a bit comedic, it did feel a little slow and i wondered what the rest of the movie would be about. when i tell you it picked up - i mean it picked up. i never would have imagined the turn this movie took, but it was so good. i will definitely be thinking about this for a long time. i’m still kind of in shock over everything i just witnessed and it definitely left me with my mouth wide open more than once. while this was enjoyable to watch, for me this film falls more into that category of films that (i’m not really sure how to put it into words) is perfectly written and is a masterpiece in the sense of storytelling (i’m sorry if that doesn’t make sense but i don’t know how to explain it). anyways i had no idea what this was going to be about going into this and i’m kind of glad that i didn’t. my advice for watching this would be to make a perfect environment to watch it all at once, paying complete attention. this is really how any movie should be enjoyed but there is so much to pay attention to in this (especially because it’s not in english) and it will make everything feel much more intense. i’m sorry if you read all of this - just thought i’d share my thoughts after watching this.
