Alexander’s review published on Letterboxd:
A rather difficult movie to describe without making it sound boring. This is not a movie about things happening but rather about what the title states. Irene Jacob, who is simply perfect in this film, plays the two woman. Although they have never meet or seen each other except for a single minute where the Polish Weronika sees French Veronique board a bus, the two woman are interconnected. This is seen through their music and their relationship with their lovers and fathers.
Everything about this movie is breathtakingly beautiful. Irene Jacob is just marvelous as this role feels like it was made for her. On the technical side, the cinematography is beauty with the tints and the shots. The golden color radiates throughout, which highlights certain colors.
