Still the highest rating I can comfortably give this film. I totally get the hype -- I just don't get the movie. Once again, I probably went into this in the wrong mood (it's been a weird day), but it definitely held my attention more than it did in my first viewing. I can't deny the visual spectacle that was seeing it in a theater, making it a worthwhile experience, even if I still have my criticisms of the presentation of the thematic and structural elements. Seeing it with a friend who was thoroughly into it helped me leave this feeling a little less cold, but I ultimately wasn't all that affected by many of the concepts here, despite their intellectual fascination.
I had a significantly different viewing experience than I did the first time, but I don't think I'll ever love this movie as much as I love it in concept. It was worth a shot.
