Somehow I never realized how significantly the runway sequence cleaves the film into two halves. It's the literal midpoint of the runtime, the major shift in our protagonist's sense of identity, and also a stylistic transition into the unreality of what follows. It's also really damn cool, just like everything else here.
It was very satisfying to see Abbey Lee's lip twitch on the big screen again.
