AFI Fest 2018: Movie #3
Still completely obsessed with this. The framing of pop music as something vacuous yet life saving is magnificent. It doesn’t erase the pain, but for as long as a show lasts, we just might be able to forget about it. Vox Lux walks the finest line between beauty and horror, and the result is a glorious nightmare.
