the way my professor was raving about this after we watched it in class is so yikes. this actually might surpass Crash as being the most simplistic and piece of trash cinematic take on racism to ever win an ACADEMY AWARD.

literally encapsulates the problems with both unreasonable female beauty standards but also the inherent problem of misplaced resentment within modern feminism that makes it possible for us as women to project our own anger on an inanimate doll while feeding into this idea that conventionally beautiful women are the enemy and have no place in feminism because of their conventional beauty therefore turning women against each other instead of getting mad at men for perpetuating the unreasonable standards lol
