i was uncertain about this all the way through, but it came together so seamlessly in its final moments. this year i’ve been really frustrated by the amount of films that have underwhelmed me with their safe and unexciting choices, so it’s lovely to see a film like annette, proof that the weird and wonderful can still flourish!
