AJ Moser’s review published on Letterboxd:
One of the most misunderstood horror movies ever made? The 'witch' here, the evil, is nothing more than the fear of digital assimilation. Our monster is housed in the television; its power drawn from making certain everyone around the country is tuned in and wired to the same channel. The prescient paranoia of Halloween 3 feels more in line with Invasion of the Body Snatchers than John Carpenter's original, which appears here again, on TV, as nothing more than a cultural signifier. Season of the Witch is the sound of a society ushered into a technocratic dystopia - it will happen slowly, unseen by most, and there will be nothing we can do to stop it.
