Andre de Nervaux’s review published on Letterboxd:
Not only was this masterfully created, it expressed the very original essence of suspiria, which many remakes fail to represent.
I’d go as far to say that part of this film to me, is almost like a experimental project, it expresses spirituality, dream like poetry enchanted by stunning visuals and groundbreaking performances, the music from thom expresses every part of that also, it couldn’t be considered as a experimental feature in a factual sense but parts of it for me felt that way.
The cinematography shouldn’t also go unmentioned as the mixtures of zooms and balanced character capturing with the changes of lighting and different scores, was utterly breathtaking.
It’s a lot to take in, with every act darker and more twisted but boy was that worth it.
Luca has the makings of one of the goats.
